Two years ago, when I first saw this blind old man at the foot bridge near our home, asking for a penny so he could have something for his food. If you live in the Philippines, you know that this is a usual scene along the sidewalks and foot bridges. Seeing him at the foot bridge doesn’t bother me at all. After a year of working overseas, I went back to the Philippines for a vacation, and everytime I pass by the footbridge I still see him on that same place in the same position. I went back overseas and again after a year I went home and saw him again in his usual position. Again, seeing him begging for a penny didn’t bother me until one late afternoon, i was crossing the foot bridge alone. There he was, on my front. The blind old man as usual was knelling, his right hand raised waiting for money to land on his palm. I look at him as I get closer and my mind says, you have been seeing this man for several times and you didn’t even give him a single cent. I continue walking until I passed him, and

I had a chance going out with my sister last weekend after I clinched work related matters at the office. As we all know when girls go out, topping the list to visit is the mall either to dine, window shop or for a real shopping. We are glad coz we were just on time for a window shopping. I didn’t know that its weekend sale at megamall. Oh yes, it was last week of the month that’s why they’re having a sale. So, after having our sumptuous lunch, the supposedly window shopping turned to a real shopping. We both adore bags, so it was the first section that we checked. Huray! An amazing seventy percent discount on some designer’s bag. It’s another chance for us to add a new piece in our bag’s closet. And so we grab our pieces of hand bags according to our taste. I got a great deal on a brown leather designer’s hand bag. I got it for only 50RM. While my sister grabs a weekender travel bag for her next trip to the Philippines. While were heading to another shop, my sister saw this medical uniform store. By chance she went inside to
As soon as February ends, it’s a sign that the family’s birth week is coming. I called it birth week, for we have three birthdays to celebrate in a week’s time. And that means I’ll have to go hunting for a unique gift ideas. Usually we start the birth week with my father’s birthday on March six. I still don’t know what we are having on my dad’s birthday. But last year the family had a simple dinner with our grannies in a fine dining restaurant. Hopefully this year will be something new. Following my dad’s birthday is my cousin’s Jet birthday on the tenth of March. This is also a relative’s get together on my father’s side. As early as today, I had their gifts wrapped to avoid last minute shopping, because knowing me, I always had a hard time choosing a birthday present for men. To close the birth week is our little Mojo’s day on the eleventh. Mojo is our Japanese Spitz dog who’s been with us for four years now. We usually give him a simple celebration at home. Have his picture taken with his birthday cake plus his favorite doggie food. It’s gonna be a
Im not into gardening ever since I was born. Though my grandmother love’s it and has her garden at home the thoughts of following her gardening tricks doesn’t interest me. If I do, I don’t think I will be a good gardener at all. I always thought that gardening is for old and boring people. This is why I was surprised to know that one of my colleagues, a not so old yet a hip engineer is in to gardening. I was kinda laughing when I heard about it. And yes, it was affirmed last weekend when we visited his house that he is indeed a gardener. So what’s funny about being a gardener? Nothing is really funny about being a gardener, what makes me laugh, was the affirmation that this hip, cool, techy and career oriented engineer is actually into gardening. I thought it is only for my granny and other grannies and mommies out there. Well, that’s what I thought. Just imagine a garden in a bachelor’s pad with a small pink planter boxes on his kitchen’s nook. Isn’t it cool? I just feel sorry for not having a camera with me not even a cam phone so I
I have this old picture of me and my sister in my wallet. I have been keeping it for almost 3 years now since I took it from my father’s wallet with his permission. It was during my recognition day when I was in my first grade. I was 6 and my sister was 3 years old when that picture was taken. I got an honor thats why am holding a gift and my sis holds some of my gifts. And why am I writing about this damn old photo? Who cares? Well, I just got interested of sharing this when this photo for the second time won a price from the popular parlor game Bring Me! I was in a friend’s birthday party when this photo grabbed a pack of chocolates as a game prize. And by chance, I didn’t know that it will grab another prize for the second time. Last Sunday, during our church anniversary, the old photo won a display frame from bring me parlor game. Simple prizes from an effortless fun game. It just gives me another reason to keep more old photos inside my wallet. LoL. Who knows, next time it will grab a fancier prize. How
One of my goals for 2011 is to improve my cooking. I desire to learn to cook more recipes not just for my own satisfaction but for hubby’s indulgence too. Before I start doing so, I thought of having a food blog to archive my cooking delight and to share the experience to my bloggosphere friends. It’s not just the blog that I ought to have for this goal; I too would like to have kitchen and cooking wares that I don’t have in our kitchen cabinet. We only have the basics in our kitchen just like our 1 quart plastic pitchers. And as much as my hubby wants to buy a cheap nike soccer indoor shoes I might love to buy those kitchen ware that I rarely use before just like the #32 plastic sausage stuffing tubefor homemade sausages.I don’t really love cooking and I don’t know much about it but I won’t get tired of learning this thing. I get so excited about this and I am looking forward of starting this new project soon.
Everyone in Facebook has been talking about the changes in zodiac signs. Earth rotation has caused changes in our zodiac signs. My previous zodiac sign describe me as a determined and forceful, emotional and intuitive, jealous and resentful, compulsive and obsessive, powerful and passionate person. Now I discover that my new zodiac sign which is Libra describes me as a romantic and charming, easygoing and sociable, perceptive and intuitive, indecisive and changeable person. I am not really the type of person who relies on astrology to determine my personality and the outcome of life but I just find those traits pleasing to my ears. LoL. Check the new dates and see if your zodiac sign have change. Yesterday i came accross this news that facebook will shut down on March 15. This morning, yahoo news confirmed that Facebook is not shutting down. It was said that the silly news came from a fake news site known for joke headlines. Facebook Director of Corporate Communications Larry Yu asked for a help to put an end to the silly news. He also stated that they didn't get the memo about shutting down and there's lots to do, and that they'll just keep cranking away like always. The Facebook official fun page today posted: "We aren't going anywhere; we're just getting started."
I came across this news this morning, and was surprise that facebook will come to its end on March 15. Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be shut down in March stating that managing the site has become too stressful. He also pointed out that Facebook has gotten out of control and the stress of managing the company has ruined his life. Starting March 15, users will no longer be able to access their facebook accounts. Facebook has been part of my daily online routine, if this is for real; I will definitely miss reading my friends daily status and thoughts in mind, checking friend pictures to keep me updated of what’s happening and will simply miss chatting with some friends who was not in my yahoo friends list. Through out the facebook craze, I am glad to get connected with some old school friends from around the globe. Glad that I was not addicted to several facebook game so ending facebook will not be a big deal for me. I just hope this is not part of their marketing strategies that will gain more profit for the company.

My baby is 21 weeks and 6 days old inside my womb. Now I would often feel him moving at night especially when I’m about to get myself to sleep. Just last night, while getting myself to sleep lying on my left side, I felt his moves. This time, he seems to be very awake while mom is getting her sleep. He continues moving inside there, and I tried to fall asleep. Just a couple of minutes, I felt this sensation on my tummy’s lower left, I couldn’t help but laugh. I realized that he was tickling me. It may not be intentionally, but hey! I just love the feeling….my baby is tickling me inside my womb! I changed position this time facing on my right side. Hubby got excited too and has to put his hands over my tummy. Baby did few movements while his daddy’s hand is over my tummy. Daddy was waiting for more, but this time he was behaving. So he takes off his hands and continues working in his pc. Just after he removes his hands, here he comes again. Tickle..tickle..tickle…mommy tickle tickle tickle….I laughed and told hubby that he knew he needs to behave
