I have been contemplating writing about this topic years ago, but it didn't happen until today, as we are touching nouns on language arts subject. One of the goals is to let the student understand what name is. I printed their names, and have them colored it. But before they do, I let them know the meaning of their names. When I conceived to our eldest son, picking out a good name was not easy. I was like, it should sound good, distinctive and most of all meaningful. Baby's name is significant. It's not only a huge part of their being but, will also help shape how they'll perceive themselves and how others will think about them. So before picking out your baby's name, think of it carefully, make sure you and your spouse will do a research before you decide. My husband and I thought of giving our children a name whose meaning will impact their lives. Our eldest name is Zoe Yechekiel. Zoe was taken from his dad's name, which means life. Yechekiel is from the hebrew name Yechezqel, which means God strengthens. So his name will translate to "A life that God strengthens." Zian on the other hand has a
Lets transport back to the time when we were kids and your dad gave you a piggy back ride so you can see a parade or a performance on the stage because you are not so tall for you to see that. I guess most of us had that piece of childhood memory. On the other hand, our son Zian was not watching a parade or a performance, he simply want a piggy back ride while we are heading home from Zoe's school. The picture caught me once again after browsing my stack image on my phone. This is just a cool father and son bonding that's why it lands on this page.
Six years ago, I took Mr. Z to be my partner for life and promised to give him my heart and walk with him hand in hand living, learning and growing in love together. I am so glad that we are celebrating our sixth years wedding anniversary and what makes it more special is that he is here with me to celebrate this memorable occassion. He works overseas that's why being home for our sixth is such a big deal. The past six years may not be a bed of roses, but I am glad that we have passed through rocks together. I know there are more to come, and I pray that as we sail through and learn life better our love triangle with the Lord will grow deeper. Happy 6th!
This morning I woke up with a dripping faucet in the kitchen. That obviously needs a quick repair to avoid water wastage. This is yet again one of those times that I wish my personal handy man; my dearest husband is here. His absence prompted me to learn the faucet fixing myself. It wasn't easy though. Thanks to Mr. G and for the toolbox kit that has been lurking in the storage. Times like this, I can see the importance of having a simple hand tools at home. It saves time and it makes the work a lot easier. You can check reidsupply.com for tooling components just in case you might want to equip your home with power tools. I think I am learning the ropes of a handy man. Blame it to hubby. But more than his handy man task, I still wish my personal handy man is here with us.
Although he is in town due to my brother in law's passing, me and the little boys are so so glad. The boys has their favorite and great playmate again even for few days only. Times like this I wish I could freeze the time so we could be with daddy Z for long. Seeing them jolly and hearing their giggles while playing with their best playmates melts my heart. Welcome Home Daddy!
Thank you for the wonderful memories September, and Hello and Welcome October! I claim that it’s gonna be a blissful month for me and the whole family. And before I go further, I would like to wish someone closest to my heart a very very happy birthday! To my best friend, my confidant, my biggest fan, our handy man, my partner in crime; my ever loving husband and dad of my little boys, may you have a blissful year ahead. Praying for good health and happiness as you journey another year in the trail called life. Thank you for everything! We miss you and we love you!
Remember my post about Flowery Treat for Moms from Krispy Kreme where I have expressed my desire to receive that flowery treat from Krispy Kreme on Mother’s Day. Just read the whole entry here. Apparently my husband is one of my avid readers so I know for sure he was able to read that post. Mother's Day came and after convincing myself that I won't get anything from my ofw hubby this Mother's Day (knowing that surprises are not his cup of tea), my day sparkled when I received a call from someone telling me that my husband is sending me a box of Krispy Kreme. Wow, that's one thing I'd like to receive this mom's day and fortunately I was able to have a bouquet of flowery donut from Krispy Kreme. How did I got it? It was a granted wish by my husband. Yes you read it right. How? Recently, Hibang (Tagni-Tagning Ideya) celebrated its 7 years blogversary and part of his blogversary celebration is the Lucky 7, where he will be granting 7 wishes of seven lucky bloggers. For the record, my husband is officially blogging at Blogeoz and that makes him a blogger too. I don’t know
To think that surprises are not his cup of tea, I was not expecting that hubby has something for me this Mother’s Day. In fact in occasions like this it’s me who insinuates such ideas. That’s why, before I turn in for the night, I’d like to share his effort in making me feel special this Mother’s Day. Thank you Bhe for some sort of surprise! Although there were some flaws with your plans, and you are out there in the spotlight miles away from me, somehow you have bolted that feeling in me. I’d like to say Thank You to my dearest husband for giving me the ticket to this occasion and for making me the mother of your offspring. How I wish you are with us to celebrate this occasion. I miss you and I love you! Happy Mother's Day to All Moms in the world!
I am not a medical person, but being a mom makes me one. I just had a break nursing my son today so I grab the opportunity to make this quicky post. He’s got mild fever and cough and the usual backbreaking and effortful breathing he encounter whenever he’s got cough. Thanks to the nebulizer at home it really is a life saver. Also good thing our medicine kit is still full of his meds so I don’t have to rush to the pharmacy. He fell off the bed last night (again for the third time since he was born). I am not sure if the fever is caused by his falling. I didn’t take him to the hospital or to a doctor. Since this is his third, I knew what to do whenever a baby fell of the bed, couch and places alike. We observed him for almost 2 hours before we let him sleep again (he fell off while sleeping). Good thing that there is no sign of injuries and he didn’t vomit so he should be okay. I just have to deal with the slight swelling on his head. Other than that he was fine and very
Along with the start of the Month of October is Hubby’s start to another 365 days journey to life. He had just marked his last year being on his twenties. Getting old? No it’s just getting better every year. We left the house early morning since our little one was scheduled for vaccination that day, but his doctor was on leave and nobody from the hospital called me to inform me about it and so we made it very early to the mall and had our big breakfast in McDonalds. This was his first birthday that only the three of us (the little Z, mommy and daddy) celebrated. I did not cook anything we just had our lunch at Tony Roma’s Steak House in Mid Valley Megamall. First time dining at Tony Roma and the food was great plus a prompt and nice service. I love the grilled chop lamb served with potato and broccoli. And the chocolate avalanche dessert. Hubby’s BBQ chicken was juicy and tender and was good also. The little one was also enjoying his piece of favourite biscuit. That was a great family meal over at Tony Roma.
This calls for a celebration! A journey has ended and here comes again your first day to your 365 days journey to life. It’s not just a year older but a year better. I wish you great happiness and good health. I know your best year is still ahead of you and I am always here in every ups and down in between. Thank you for everything especially for being a loving husband and father to me and zoe. We Love You soo much!
I was really surprise when I saw my husband’s profile in Pinoy Expat Blog Nominee expat division album in PEBA’s FB account. I know my husband is joining a contest in PEBA, but I was not expecting that he will be one among those eleven nominees. He is not really much into blogging but he maintains two blogs one of which have an own domain. His got into blogging when I embraced blogging two years ago. Of course he is not a pro blogger, neither of us. Perhaps, we just have developed a new passion in our heart and that is blogging. For those of you who do not know PEBA, it is a non-profit, non-stock organization of international Filipino Bloggers located from different parts of the world & duly registered in Securities & Exchange Commission and Bureau of Internal Revenue. It has grown to have representative & liaison offices in the Middle East, South East Asia-Pacific, North America, Europe and North Africa. This is a great exposure for BlogEoz which I’m proud of. I hope that he could make it to the finals. While it is great to desire to win, the exposure brought to BlogEoz is enough to
When I get to work on weekends, hubby becomes the baby sitter of our little one since our nanny is off on weekends. And so it is some sort of bonding for my two boys. Hubby had no choice but to do the preparing of milk, be the diaper changer and the drool wiper for the day and sometimes gets extended when I work late on weekends. It may be a tough task for my hubby but I am sure it’s a good chance for them to bond. The exciting part for me, is when I get home where baby Z usually greets me with smiles, actually big smiles except when he is sleeping when I arrive home. On the other hand, hubby will have his rounds of storytelling; how he played with baby Z, how baby Z reacted to his tickles and blah blah blah…as if he is a kid telling me everything that had happen in school. And it just feels good hearing those stories and knowing that my hubby could actually manage the baby sitting alone. Here’s a glimpse of there bonding moment, thanks to ninang Jean for the awesome picture.
If there’s one person who is more than proud the way I do with our little one, it’s none other than his big daddy. From the start of my pregnancy up to the delivery it was my husband who was constantly beside me and I have to give credit to him for making things easier for me from the pregnancy, delivery and up to now that our little one is with us. I can clearly recall his excitement the moment that we knew that we’re going to be parents and the waiting game makes him more excited to become a father as we get closer to the delivery date. And finally, it came to pass that my dear husband is now a proud daddy. An overwhelming feeling mixed with joy and anxiousness. Anxious of being a first time dad, what to expect, what to do, and what’s necessary? But beyond those anxieties is an overwhelming joy or rather an unexplainable joy that our little one has brought us. He just love watching his son sleeping and would often brag how handsome his little one is, just like him. Lol.Fatherhood can be a tricky thing but I know he is doing
It’s my hubby’s birthday today! Happy Birthday Bhe! I thank God for having you in my life. Thank you for everything. I know, in God’s perfect time; He will grant all the desire of your heart, just continue believing and living for Him all the days of your life. Continue to be a blessing to people around you. God Bless and Bless God more! I love You!
