Sunday Reflection: HE has Gifted you to Grow!

PhotobucketDid you know that God never created you to be average? He never created us to reach a certain level and then plateau. We should all know that God created us to excel and He wants us to know that there is no limit to how high we can go in life. There is no limit to what we can accomplish, if we only learn to shake off complacency and keep pressing forward to the next level. We maybe trying to succeed but have hit the walls again and again. Don’t stop dear! Try again. Keep going until you get what you want to achieve. It’s sad that there are many people who grow satisfied with far less than God’s best for their lives. We simply get comfortable with it not knowing that God has something better for us, if we only keep on stretching to the next level. Let us exercise our faith in achieving our goals. Keep going, don’t keep your toned body grow flabby by not exercising. Let us exercise our faith. Our potential has been put in us by our Creator when we were born. It’s up to us to use it or not, remember it

Sunday Reflection: Dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus

PhotobucketAs we welcome the New Year many of us sets new goals and resolution in life. This has been viral every time New Year comes and everyone wants to be successful with the new goals and resolution. Topping the list of New Year’s resolution is something about our personality or attitude, something that we want to change for the better. Second is something about food, diet is one of them and the third is something about health, and working out is one of them. But sad to say, many of us fail. Perhaps only 2 out of 5 people succeed. As we set our new goals, have you think of becoming dead to sin this year? Did you ever consider this in one of your many New Year’s resolution? The Bible tells us that we are lovers of ourselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. (2 Timothy 2-4) This year why don’t we try to free ourselves from sin? Why don’t we welcome God in our lives today? It’s not

Sunday Reflection: Where is God in Natural Disaster?

With the current tragedy that happened in Cagayan de Oro City, I can’t help but pray for the victims especially for the innocent victim of typhoon Sendong which are the children. I can’t hold on my tears seeing those dead pictures of children being circulated in a social networking site. I don’t have relatives in that area but I have friends online who lives in Cagayan de Oro and I praise God that they are alive. Though some of them lost their possessions but really praise God that no lives were claimed. In the midst of natural disaster where you see children are separated from their parents, lives being torn and hundred of people dead I think I can’t blame you asking “Where is God?” very sensitive question likewise sensitive to answer. There are event in the Bible which shows that God was involve in a disaster. The great flood in the time of Noah was sent by God. Perhaps the right question to ask is why does He allow them to happen and that question should be followed by a follow up question what lesson is to be learned. We are living in a sinful world, and so it

Zoe’s First Swimming Experience | Club Manila East

PhotobucketWe do have our neighborhood swimming pool but I haven’t taken the little one for a swim yet until this family gathering of my inlaws. Last weekend even though the weather was not so good, hubby’s family went for a swim at Club Manila East as a family reunion. Hubby’s big bro kuya bong came home from Qatar and hubby was here for a one week vacation. Club Manila East is a theme park located in Taytay Rizal which is ideal for family bonding especially during summer. Entrance fee cost Php 350.00 and there are several accommodation to choose from. We stayed in private chalet which they call cavana costs Php 1500.00. When we arrive at CME, the little one keep on staring at the swimming pool where kids are swimming. Looks like he was curious with what they’re (the kids) doing. And so we let him experience his first swim. Look how excited he was. He was a little scared at first, perhaps the water was cold then eventually he enjoys it. It was really fun for the family especially for the little ones. Now we are thinking of taking him to our condo’s swimming pool atleast twice a

Farewells

I will never get used to farewells; I hate the feelings and I hate saying goodbye. I belong to an OFW family and every year, I see my father leaving since I was five. Now that I am starting my own “OFW family” my heart broke into pieces, seeing my husband leaving. And it’s even more painful knowing that he will miss those little milestones of our little prince. No matter how hard I try holding on my tears, still it rolls over my check. How I wish none of us don’t have to leave. But I have to face the reality; it is from there where my husband earns a living. As I have said before, I grow up in an OFW family and it’s really hard growing up without your parents on your side. And I don’t want my children to experience it. I envy those families who happily live a happy life together. But I know this is only temporary and in due time hopefully in God’s perfect time, none of us will have to leave and we will, hopefully live a happy life together.

Baby Z turns One

Eight fifteen in the evening last year, I gave birth to a bouncing baby boy; Zoe, our first child; our bundle of joy, our happiness beyond happiness. Time really does fly fast, a year has passed and today, our little one turned one year old. We are thankful to God for keeping him healthy and for always guiding him in his little steps. And we are also thankful for our family’s love and guidance. The two hours party was fun filled. Thanks to the staff of Max’s Restaurant and ofcourse to the energetic kids and moms who enjoyed the games. Hubby and I would like to thank our family and friends who shared the fun with us and for making our little one’s big day memorable.

Sunday Reflection: Purity

PhotobucketInspired by the preaching of our pastor, today’s reflection is all about Purity. Our scripture today is from Matthew 5:8. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God It may be impossible to achieve purity from a wordly view. What we don’t know is hat, God has planned purity for us and has done everything in His power for us to achieve Purity. To justify this, one of the reasons why Jesus died on the cross is Purification as said in 1John 1:7; But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all[a] sin. It means that if we walk and commune with Jesus, purity is going to start to manifest in us as spending time with Jesus will change us. Purity works from the heart to outside. It’s not good to just aim to look pure. We should be pure and the more that we spend time with God, the more we are change from the inside. And it goes along, as we are change from the inside, purity becomes evident on the outside.

Sunday Reflection: Forgive and Forget

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you." Matthew 6:14 Forgiving is allowing another person to be human for faults, mistakes, or misdeeds. It  is letting another know that there is no grudge, hard feelings, or animosity for any wrongdoing. Forgiving is the God like gift of spiritually connecting with others, touching their hearts to calm the fear of rejection, quiet the sense of failure, and lighten the burden of guilt. Forgetting is the God like gift of spiritually touching others' hearts with the reassurance of a happy and full life with no fear of recrimination, remonstrations, or reminding of past offenses. Forgetting is putting these behind you; they are no longer brought up and no longer remain a barrier to your relationship. In order to forgive and forget, you need to let go of past hurt and pain, Trust in the goodness of  mankind and  the goodness and mercy of God to take over for you. Let go and let God lead you during a hurtful time and  Believe in God's infinite justice and wisdom. There is nothing so bad that cannot be forgiven. Nothing! So Live a peaceful and joyful life, Forgive and

Sunday Reflection: Fire in the House

PhotobucketA Blessed Sunday Everyone! Today's scripture is from Leviticus 6:9 “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering shall be on the hearth upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it. In ancient Israel, the priests were instructed to ensure that the fire from the altar of burnt offering where daily sacrifices of animals that such as lamb, bulls, goats, turtledoves or pigeons are being offered in order the fire from the altar to keep burning.  This ritual pleases God reason that He affirms it by His presence in a form of a pillar of fire by night and pillar of cloud by day, symbolizing the continual burning love and passion between God and man.  Thus should the fire of our holy affections, the exercise of our faith and love, of prayer and praise, be without ceasing. Our Love for Jesus is the greatest fuel to keep our burning relationship with Him. So lets keep that fire burning in our hearts.

Baby’s Day Out: Lake Garden

PhotobucketToday the little one had his first day at the park. Hubby and I bought him along to Lake Garden together with few KL Pinoy Photography buffs for a Product Shoot. This was baby Z’s first day out in a park. Along with the excitement I was actually worried about insect bites since his skin had been reacting badly with insect’s bites so, I did not forget to bring along insect repellent to protect him from the bites. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="259"] sneaking from his stroller's window[/caption] While I was busy with the shoot, Hubby and the little one took their time exploring the park. During the early stage of the shoot, I can still see them within the shooting area but as we go on and moves on to different site location my eyes can’t reach them both. I wasn’t worried; I know hubby will be taking the little one somewhere to enjoy the place. When were about to change site location for the last time, I saw them both coming. And as I mention they just went to look for some fun. Hubby handed me my phone to show me something. Oh…It was a video of the little

Sunday Reflection: Don’t Stop… See you at the Top!

Today's reflection is from 2 Peter 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen. (New King James Version) Ambition is an eager and sometimes an earnest desire for elevation, honor, power, supremacy or simply the achievement of something. Many of us are confused about what to do with personal ambition. We are conflicted because we've heard the cautionary tales of Christians gone astray with selfish ambition. Dreams and ambitions are gifts from God that we should steward in a responsible manner, and they are to be received not with suspicion but with thanksgiving to God. As Christians God wants us to work hard, because we're ultimately working for him, using the gifts that he gave. It would be wrong to let those skills and talents go to waste by just staying in bed all day every day... Rather than retreating from ambition, we should embrace it as God's gift to us. We have to press on to what God wants us to do, that it shall inspire us to become more and more like Jesus. Every step gives us joyful soul-satisfaction Pursuing ambition

Sunday Reflection: When you say nothing at all

PhotobucketThis week's reflection is taken from Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. As it has always been said, it is very difficult to be a Christian and at times we even fail to make our Christianity known to the world. When we make it known, and we should, that we are Christians we must be willing to live the life to allow others to see what Christ like living is. We need to be careful what communications pass through our lips. We need to be careful how we speak. We need to make sure that we are talking the way Jesus would. Some Christians fail to remember that they are under the microscope. Which means that sometimes Christians are the focus of some people in the church. And If someone could find a Christian doing something wrong that would give them the chance to charge the Church as being immoral which evidently ends up charging Christ since it is his Church. We need to try and tame our tongues; they most surely can get us in much trouble. If we

Sunday Reflection: Just Trust

It's sunday, and its time for my reflection. Today's scripture reference is from the book of Psalms  chapter 125:1 Those who trust in the LORD Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever. The life we are now living is full of uncertainties, we often find ourselves frustrated and disappointed because we have trusted ourselves or other people. But there is one thing for sure whatever happens God will never fail us and will never leave us nor forsake us. He is our very present help in time of need. GOD assured us of total success in life if we could only trust in Him through His word. Right now if you are in a difficult situation and have lost your trust in the Lord, you probably need counseling. If you cannot visit a local church in your area, There are online Christian colleges where many have chosen to get a Christian counseling degree to help people through the trials of life. Im sure they'll be a great help.
