Goodbye Breast Feeding

Since I gave birth to our little one, I have been feeding him breast milk. I choice to give him breast milk over formula milk because of its complete nutrition that is essential in baby’s development. It is a unique nutritional source that cannot be replace by any other food or formula milk. For more than a month I have been feeding him breast milk alone. I only give him formula milk when he gets hungry during our check up. I was quite hesitant to do breastfeeding on public places, as most areas don’t have a breastfeeding room. Just before he turns two months, I formally introduced him to infant formula. I feed him 60ml of infant formula once a day. It was because he

What? Today is the Judgement day?

Last night while watching the local news I was startled by the news that today, May 21 2011 will be the judgement day. According to the news, a religious group from United States predicted May 21 2011 to be the judgement day. The religious group have spread the news all over the world including the Philippines. Harold Camping, who made this prediction, believe with no doubt that this is going to happen. He was also the predictor or Jesus Coming in 1994 which never happen. His prediction is based on his Bible reading and a timeline dating back to ancient event including the great flood in Noa’s time. The Bible tells us that the day and the hour of His coming is unknown. Matthew Chapter

Hammock and Baby Z

During Baby Z’s first three months in KL, hubby and I want to have a hammock at home for our little one. But we don’t know where to place it since we are not allowed to drill a hole in the condo we are staying. When we went back to manila, I know we will be able to provide a hammock for baby Z. And just before he turns six months, he’s got his first hammock ride experience. Looks like he loves it coz he’s got longer sleep than before. It took us almost two months to finally set up a hammock at home. I was actually hesitant to do so, since I don’t know how to set it up safely. But thanks to my

Hillsong United Live in Manila

Amidst a popular demand once again this coming June 2, 2011, Hillsong United will be in Manila for their Aftermath tour. They will perform live at Araneta Coliseum. Thanks to my sister’s boyfriend Mark for informing us about this upcoming Hillsong Concert in Manila. If not of him, we will definitely miss this concert.  I’ve got to save the date and I am so glad that I am still in the Philippines on that said date. I remember the heart warming experience when I first saw them worship the Lord live in Araneta Coliseum last 2008. I was not in the country when they had their Touching Heaven Worship Night with Darlene Zschech. This time I can’t afford to miss them. I haven’t purchase a

Happy Birthday Tatay (Father)

Today, the man who made me what I am today is celebrating fifty seven years of good life. Happy Birthday to my beloved Tatay! I am praying for good health and happiness as you live a life according to what God has planned for you. As you celebrate your day, I would like to thank you for everything that you have done for us. My sister and I are grateful for being a responsible and loving father to us. Though you were alone in raising us, you have never failed in providing our needs, materially, emotionally, spiritually and even physically. Though you are miles away for years, you have never failed of becoming a father to us. Distance was never a hindrance for you to

Catching Up the Summer

In two weeks time summer in the Philippines will bid goodbye and we will say hello to the rainy season. Just before the summer ends, here we are planning a last minute family swimming outing. For hubby’s very short vacation, we are going to visit the Camayan Beach Resort in Subic Bay Freeport Zone. It’s a two hour’s drive from Manila using the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway. It will be our first swim in the waters of Subic. Swimming means swimwear. And so I’ve search my closet for a swimsuit and I found out that I left my two pairs of swimsuit in KL. Asking hubby to bring it on his vacation might not be a good idea. I am not sure if it will still fit

Still the Champion

photo by www.guampdn.com While typhoon bebeng hits the southern part of Luzon and eastern part of visayas, Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley were in action at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Pacquiao won by unanimous decision over Shane Mosley and once again he has proven that he is still the world’s greatest fighter and retained his WBO welterweight title. Mosley having the height and body advantage over Pacquiao is a great opponent. While Pacquiao who is 9 years younger than Mosley made him powerful than mosley. And it was proven, when he knocked down mosley at third round and eventually beats him via unanimous decision. However, Pacman falls during the tenth round, which made him more aggressive and confident at the ring, throwing

A Not so Happy Mother’s Day

I can’t remember a memorable moment with my mom during Mothers Day. I have never enjoyed mother’s day nor did it make me happy, instead it made me lonely recalling all the memories I have with her when she was still with us. It just made me envious to those who have their moms on Mother’s Day. This only reminds me the pain of losing a mother at an early age. So painful that even now, tears are rolling on my face while I am writing this post. After two decades, if not of me becoming a mother, I’m not gonna celebrate this occasion once again. I guess this is the time to forget the pain and celebrate mother’s day for the first time. And

Happy Feet

Lately on his fourth month, baby z learned to stand on his feet with support and it became one of his daily exercises. I have been giving him massage including leg massage even before he learned to stand on his feet to help stimulate his developing nervous system. It’s been known that massage is beneficial to babies. It improves blood circulation, provides relief from colic, strengthen immune system and stimulate digestion. So it’s soo much worthy giving your baby a massage. This afternoon, while doing the same exercise, we were all surprise when baby z made his first step, and followed by few more steps. We get so excited and we let him wear a shoe and let him do more steps. That was the

Make your Momma Proud

This Mother’s day, he’s gonna wear this shirt again. So cute and I’m so proud; so proud to be his mom. The shirt was a present of his aunt jane and it comes with a pair of shirt that says ” I love Dad”. I soo love this pair, thank you Jane for the wonderful gift.   Im a first time mom and this will be my first mother’s day experience. Unlike other first time mom, I am not so excited about it, because I will be celebrating it alone since hubby is not around. This is the first occasion that I will be celebrating alone. My heart is screaming for hubby’s presence this coming Sunday but unfortunately it is impossible. Perhaps I will be having

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

For the upcoming Mother’s day, perhaps most of us are thinking what to give our mom this coming Mother’s day. Of course everyone would like to give the best gift to their mom. If you are still mulling what to give your mom this mother’s day, you’ve got a few days left. I may not be an expert, but I have compiled a list of gift ideas which will show her you care. Give your mom a fabulous experience. Have a quality time with your mom by giving her a mom and daughter spa. Or spoil your mom, by giving her a day at a spa package. Most moms like jewelry. She may already have her favourite set of jewelry, but this mother’s day, perhaps, a personalise
